Frequently asked questions

What pharmacy teams and customers need to know.

Kiosks in store, online triage before arrival and pharmacist-led consults — here is how the workflow fits together.

What does PharmAssist do?

PharmAssist helps pharmacies reduce counter queues by organising customer requests before they reach the pharmacist. It brings together order-ahead eScripts, in-pharmacy kiosk intake, online triage, service bookings and consult workflows in one pharmacy workspace.

How does the in-pharmacy kiosk work?

Customers can use a kiosk inside the pharmacy to explain what they need, complete the relevant intake questions and join the right workflow without waiting at the counter just to get started. The pharmacy team receives a structured request and the pharmacist remains responsible for review and professional decisions.

How does PharmAssist reduce pharmacy queues?

Routine intake happens online before arrival or at the kiosk in store. Instead of repeating the same first questions at a busy counter, the team sees an organised queue with the information already collected and can triage each customer to the right next step.

Can customers start online before visiting the pharmacy?

Yes. Depending on the services enabled by the pharmacy, customers can submit an eScript order ahead, book a pharmacy service or start the relevant intake online. The request reaches the pharmacy before the customer arrives.

Does PharmAssist provide consultations?

PharmAssist supports consultation requests, bookings, intake and the pharmacy team’s consult workflow. The consultation itself is provided by the appropriate pharmacy professional, with the pharmacist retaining clinical responsibility.

Does the platform replace the pharmacist?

No. PharmAssist is workflow software, not a therapeutic good or a replacement for professional judgement. It structures intake and highlights requests for review; a pharmacist remains involved wherever professional assessment or approval is required.

Will PharmAssist connect with our POS or dispense system?

We are building PharmAssist to integrate with any POS. FRED and ZDispense integrations are currently in progress, and we will confirm the available integration path for each pharmacy during pilot planning.

Where is PharmAssist data hosted?

PharmAssist data is hosted in Australia, with Sydney as the primary region and Melbourne as the failover region.
